    I am absolutely lost when it comes to using cameras; they are not behaving as I would expect them to. I have RigidBody2D which has various children, such as an AnimatedSprite and a Camera2D. I added the camera to the RigidBody2D in the assumption that the camera would follow the character around the screen. This worked fine for a while, but the camera no longer follows the sprite around.

Sep 25, 2019 · Now select the Player node and take a look in the inspector. You’ll see a new Property called My Camera: Click on the Assign… button and select your Camera node. You can now access the camera inside your script by typing get_node (my_camera), even if the node is renamed or moved around later. Great!
